Andy Thackeray maat
During his twenty years as an accountant, Andy has specialised in supporting both owner-managed and large business. Responsibilities have included quasi-director roles providing board members with the financial support and advice essential to improving systems or saving tax.
He has an in-depth technical knowledge developed and maintained over time on many accounting areas and, in addition, a thorough understanding of many trades and professions. Hopefully you will make good use of this knowledge.
On a personal note, Andy is a big fan of real ale, ringing church bells and Aston Villa. Andy loves nothing more than to tug away at his bell for a few hours of a Sunday morning, followed by a trip to the pub in the afternoon to watch the Villa over a few pints of real ale!
Having started in February 1988, as a trainee with a firm in Hull, 15 years later saw a move to the Worcester area where, although the accounting was much the same, the beer was very different. The call back north became too strong and, in 2006, Andy relocated (only halfway back) to Chesterfield.
Currently Andy is kept busy outside of work as Vice-Chair of the local Campaign for Real Ale branch and Chairman of the Chesterfield District church bell-ringers (both very good excuses to get around the area and maybe have the odd pint or three).
