David Coleman _fmaat

David has worked as an accountant in local government, practice and industry since commencing his professional career with Ashfield District Council in 1982, so the move to the Sutton-in-Ashfield office of Coleman Bradshaw is a return to his roots in many ways.

Prior to acquiring the Matlock practice in 2001, David had been a manager in three quite traditional accountancy firms in the Notts/Derbyshire area who always expected their clients to attend their offices within normal office hours, so David quickly realised there was an opportunity for an accountant who could offer the same level of professional service whilst being more open and available to his clients.

This ethos proved successful and was shared by Scott and Hayley who joined as Partners to form Coleman Bradshaw in October 2005.

David is still regularly involved in the accounts preparation process for his clients and believes he can offer his clients greater value with regard to tax advice and business planning if he knows their business from the bottom up, and takes great satisfaction in seeing their businesses (and their families) grow as the initial business relationship becomes a personal friendship.

Outside of work David enjoys sport, TV and watching sport on TV! And in the summer he can be found playing cricket for South Normanton in the Bassetlaw league as a specialist non-batting, non-bowling and not-very-good-fielding all rounder!
