Kym Casey
Kym is the youngest member of our team having joined us from business college, initially as an admin assistant, in April 2006.
We quickly realised that Kym had an aptitude for accountancy and we were unable to offer her the type of admin work that she needed to fulfil her potential. We therefore offered Kym the opportunity of pursuing the AAT qualification, the first step on the route to becoming a qualified accountant.
Kym has grasped this opportunity with both hands and is now well on the way to becoming an accounting technician having passed all her exams so far at the first attempt. The partners have confidence that Kym can prepare accounts, VAT returns and bookkeeping for smaller businesses to a very high standard.
Having recently completed a diploma in payroll administration, in conjunction with our own in-house training, Kym is now the first point of contact for our 130 payroll clients. In addition to providing an efficient payroll processing service, Kym is developing the knowledge and experience to be able to provide advice and support on all aspects of paying your employees, so we look forward to promoting her to payroll manager very soon.
Outside of work Kym likes to chill out after a long day spent number crunching, and prefers to spend her nights out in Bakewell rather than Matlock through fear of embarrassment of encountering her drunken bosses (or is it avoid buying us a drink?) Kym's unofficial working hours are 9.07 to 4.58 with a 65 minute lunch.
