A Photo of Scott

Scott Bradshaw acca, fmaat

Scott has worked within Coleman Bradshaw under four different ownerships, so knows a thing or two about successful business acquisitions.

After beginning his career at a larger practice Scott grew frustrated at the repetitive nature of his work, so decided to pursue a career in a small practice to broaden his accountancy experience.

After writing to every firm of Accountants in Matlock Scott became Martyn Atkinson's apprentice, where he flourished in the role. Martyn sadly passed away shortly after, and the owner of the practice, Keith Bradshaw, appointed Scott to manage the practice until Martyn's successor could be found.

This period presented Scott with a challenging learning curve, having gone from Junior to Manager in the space of 18 months, but it enabled him to gain a wealth of experience that very few young accountants would usually be exposed to.

By the time David Coleman took over the practice, Scott had become an integral figure, which was of great help to David in achieving a smooth changeover, prompting David to offer Scott a partnership upon qualifying with the ACCA

This was achieved in 2004, after somehow fluking his final three exams, and Scott joined David & Hayley in partnership to form Coleman Bradshaw.

Scott particularly enjoys dealing with the smaller business, especially those that have only just started or are striving to expand, which is of course a period where a business would especially benefit form the services of a caring and diligent accountant.

Away from the office, Scott plays for Duke William FC, who are without doubt the worst football team in Matlock.

Scott also enjoys travelling, and tries wherever possible to combine this with his love of beer and football by following England away, so if you need your accountant in June when the year ends in an even number you might find it difficult to get through.
